Elin Nordegren Was Spotted Solo At The White House Correspondents' Dinner

Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods' ex-wife, was spotted in D.C. this weekend at the White House Correspondents' dinner as a guest of People magazine. Nordegren, who has been rumored to be dating her coal magnate neighbor, Chris Cline, was at the event alone.

While rumors the two are a couple have been floating around since March, neither Nordegren nor Cline have commented on their relationship.

There were also rumors recently that Woods' asked Nordegren to marry him again. Those rumors however, were put to rest when Woods' and Lindsey Vonn announced they were dating.

As for Tiger, he too was spotted solo this weekend at Michael Jordan's wedding.

Congress's solution to flight delays caused by sequester-mandated budget cuts is going to cause pain in the long run.

To avoid further furloughing air traffic controllers, the FAA will be allowed to draw on funds that had been set aside to improve the nation's airports.

American airports aren't great to begin with, and now they won't be getting much better.

To give American travelers a look at what they're missing, we've put together a list of the world's best airports, based on the 2013 World Airport Awards, announced this month by leading airline reviewer Skytrax.

The awards, which include categories for best terminal, shopping, security, cleanliness, dining, and more, are determined by public opinion. More than 12 million people responded to this year's survey.

As President Obama noted in a press conference Tuesday, the highest ranked U.S. airport is Cincinnati at #30. Not very impressive.

10. London Heathrow Airport

Yearly passengers: 70 million

2012 rank: 11

Why it's awesome: Despite London Mayor Boris Johnson's concern that Heathrow gives visitors "a terrible impression of the UK," the overcrowded airport made it into Skytrax's top ten.

The third busiest airport in the world in 2012, it took home the awards for Best Airport Shopping and Best Airport Terminal, for T5, which opened in 2008 after a $6.2 billion, 19-year design and construction process.

Heathrow's Skytrax review includes four or five out of five star rankings for ease of use, flight information, public transport, security staff efficiency, and more.

9. Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)

Yearly passengers: 66.8 million

2012 rank: 14

Why it's awesome: Haneda moved up five places this year, partly thanks to how clean it is.

With a third, international terminal that opened in 2010, Haneda can accommodate 90 million passengers annually.

More construction is already in the works: The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced plans to expand the new terminal with eight more gates, more parking, and a hotel, by March 2014.

The airport won the Skytrax awards for Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness and World's Best Domestic Airport, and took second place for Best Airport Immigration Service.

8. Vancouver International Airport

Yearly passengers: 17.6 million

2012 rank: 8

Why it's awesome: The least busy airport in the Skytrax top ten, Vancouver International offers visitors a large collection of Pacific Northwest Coast Native art.

Skytrax named Vancouver International the Best Airport in North America for the fourth year in a row in 2013, a streak that justifies the $1.4 billion the airport spent on recent expansion.

Volunteers, known as Green Coat Ambassadors, work in the airport to help travelers get where they're going.

Former NBA All-Star Accused Of Squatting In A Home For More Than A Year

Chris Gatling, a former NBA All-Star, has been accused of allegedly squatting in a home in Arizona from July of 2010 to August of 2011, according to azcentral.com.

Gatling allegedly broke into a key box and starting living in the home. The homeowners, who lived in California at the time had left the electricity on.

The ex-NBA player also allegedly tried to list the home on Craigslist for rent for $800 a month and listed it as an "Ex-NBA home."

Gatling played in the NBA for 12 seasons, made the All-Star team in 1997, and reportedly made close to $30 million.

Michael Alarid, Gatling's attorney says the entire situation was a misunderstanding.

3,000 Portland Timbers Fans Came To A Make-A-Wish Soccer Game For A Kid With Cancer

The Portland Timbers, who average more then 20,000 fans at their games, have one of the biggest followings in MLS.

And when Atticus Lane-Dupre, an 8-year-old who is battling cancer, got his wish (through Make-A-Wish) for his youth soccer team to play against the Portland Timbers, 3,000 fans came out to watch.

Lane-Dupre said he chose this as his wish because he wanted to share it with friends:

"Because usually kids just choose to go to Disneyland with their family or getting something and I chose something that lots of people could do," he said.

Ichiro Suzuki Is Renting A $23,500 Per Month Apartment With Gorgeous Views Of Central Park

Yankees outfielder Ichiro Suzuki is renting an apartment on Central Park North in Harlem for $23,500 a month, according to Curbed.com.

The New York Post reported that both Yankee stars Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez looked into buying the place for $9 million, but Ichiro ended up scooping it up for rent.

The apartment is 5,400 square feet and has six bedrooms and 6 and a half bathrooms.

It also has 100 feet of outdoor terraces and a beautiful view of NYC's Central Park.

Mark Sanchez Debuted A Terrible, Terrible New Hair-Do Today

NFL reporter Kimberly Jones tweeted a photo of Mark Sanchez talking to the press today in which the Jets quarterback debuted his new hair-do, complete with a headband. It's horrible.

Sanchez also told the media he is "thrilled to compete" with newly drafted Geno Smith.

Female Broadcasters Are Fleeing ESPN

Jason McIntyre of Big Lead Sports is reporting that ESPN host Charissa Thompson is leaving the network and going to Fox Sports.

When contacted, neither Fox Sports nor ESPN had a comment on the report.

Thompson previously worked at Fox as a co-host on "The Best Damn Sports Show Ever."

At ESPN, Thompson co-hosted "Numbers Never Lie" with Michael Smith, and she replaced Michelle Beadle as host of "SportsNation."

This makes Thompson the fourth female ESPN personality to leave the network in the past year and a half.

Last year, Erin Andrews went to Fox Sports, Beadle went to NBC, and Rachel Nichols went to CNN.

So why are all of these women leaving ESPN, the Worldwide Leader in Sports?

It could be money. According to McIntyre, rumored salaries for Andrews, Beadle, and Nichols at their new networks ranged from $600,000 to $800,000.

With a seemingly constant stream of new female talent at ESPN, perhaps it's just not worth it for the network to throw out the big bucks to keep the stars.

Over the past couple of seasons, NBA players have gone a little crazy with their fashion.

Patterned shirts and lenseless glasses are all the rage among players like Russell Westbrook, but there are still a few guys who dress with a classic style.

Guys like Kobe, Deron Williams, and Tony Parker keep it fresh in classic suits and they are the true best dressed players in the NBA. But on the other side of that, some of the players either have way too much going on, or just look like slobs.

BEST: Deron Williams of the Brooklyn Nets keeps it simple



WORST: Tim Duncan of the Spurs is stuck in the '90s, or something



BEST: Steve Nash of the Lakers goes for the classic look

Tom Brady Went Nuts After Reportedly Winning $23,500 At The Kentucky Derby

Tom Brady is always at the Kentucky Derby, usually in full derby-style. According to football writer Chris B. Brown who was at the tracks, it was rumored Brady put $4,700 on Orb this year. Since Orb won, this would leave Brady with about $23,500 in winnings.

There's video of Brady screaming in celebration after Orb won, so we're guessing he definitely won a bunch of money. Brady starts screaming at the 20 second mark (via Big Lead Sports):

20-Year-Old Tennis Phenom Sloane Stephens Rips Serena Williams

Rising tennis star Sloane Stephens beat Serena Williams at the Australian Open, and Stephens told Marin Cogan for ESPN The Magazine that Williams has not spoken to her since.

Williams even unfollowed Stephens on Twitter. She told ESPN (via Beyond the Baseline):

“She’s not said one word to me, not spoken to me, not said hi, not looked my way, not been in the same room with me since I played her in Australia. And that should tell everyone something, how she went from saying all these nice things about me to unfollowing me on Twitter.”

Immediately after Williams lost to Stephens in the semis in Australia, she was a poor sport and completely destroyed her racket:

 

Stephens also told ESPN that this cryptic tweet from Williams soon after their match at the Aussie Open was surely referencing her:

There were many reports when Stephens first came on the scene that she and Williams had a close bond and the the elder tennis star was Stephens mentor. But in the magazine, Stephens explains that's not true and that ever since the Williams sisters didn't sign a poster for her when she was a young tennis fan that Kim Clijsters has been her favorite player, not Serena.

Basically, Stephens said Williams has had absolutely zero influence on her life as a tennis player:

“For the first 16 years of my life, she said one word to me and was never involved in my tennis whatsoever.I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal that she’s not involved now. If you mentor someone, that means you speak to them, that means you help them, that means you know about their life, that means you care about them. Are any of those things true at this moment? No, so therefore…”

There's definitely a Williams-Stephens rivalry brewing. Let's hope they meet at the French Open at the end of May.

This year's theme for the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is "PUNK: Chaos to Couture" and Tom Brady is embracing it. We think.

Serena Williams Responds To Sloane Stephens' Criticism

In ESPN The Magazine's most recent issue, young tennis phenom Sloane Stephens ripped Serena Williams to shreds. Stephens claims Williams hasn't spoke a word to her since the young tennis star beat Serena at the Australian Open.

Today, at the Madrid Open, Williams responded to the comments. Williams told reporters (via Sports Illustrated):

“I’m a big Sloane Stephens fan and always have been. I’ve always said that I think she can be the best in the world. I’ll always continue to think that and always be rooting for her.

“So I really just always wish her — and anyone, really, especially from America — the best. We don’t have that many American players, so it’s always exciting to see so many young players doing so well.”

Williams beat Lourdes Dominguez Lino in the second round of the Madrid Open today while Stephens fell to Daniela Hantuchova in the first round.

Alabama Football Coach Nick Saban Is Auctioning Off His $11 Million Lake-Front Home In Georgia

Alabama football head coach Nick Saban is auctioning off his vacation home on Lake Burton in Georgia that is currently listed at $10.9 million, according to the Atlanta Busines Journal.

Concierge Auctions is auctioning off the home without reserve on June 6. It will go to the highest bidder.

The house, which is named The Pointe on Lake Burton, has 700 feet of lake frontage and is super private. It's 9,600 square feet and sits on 1.7 acres of land.

Inside there are six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, custom-built fireplaces, a wine cellar, and a billiards room. Outside, there is a full kitchen, a swimming dock, and a Cape Cod-style lighthouse with 270-degree views of the lake and mountains.

The house sits on 1.7 acres



The surrounding trees make the home very private



There are garages for boats

Sloane Stephens Tweets That She And Serena Williams Have Cleared The Air

It seems the drama in the women's tennis world has come to an end today after Sloane Stephens tweeted the following:

Yesterday a story came out in ESPN The Magazine in which Stephens ripped Williams. Stephens said Williams hadn't spoken to her since the young tennis star defeated Williams at the Aussie Open.

Today, Williams told reporters that she's a Stephens fan and has nothing against her.

It looks like the two have cleared the air but we're still excited for the next time they play each other.

Tiger Woods Gets Drunk At The Party Of The Year, Is On The Golf Range In Florida Hours Later

According to a report from US Weekly, Tiger Woods got drunk at the after party of the Met Gala on Monday night and had a little trouble walking up the stairs.

Woods and his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn went to the after party at the Boom Boom Room on top of the Standard Hotel together where they reportedly chatted, danced, and kissed all night.

A source told US Weekly that "Tiger looked uncomfortable," and that at around 2 a.m. when the couple left, Woods fell when he was walking up a flight of stairs and stayed on the ground until Vonn came to help him up.

Woods must have gotten on a flight pretty soon after this because he was at TPC, a golf course in Florida, by noon on Tuesday.

Judging from her tweet at 3:28 a.m., Vonn had a great time too:
